ABOUT THE RIDE:

Get ready for Portland's premier bicycle ride!

The Portland Century is a fully supported catered tour about Portland. You'll ride through some of Portland's most scenic areas on quiet rural roads, along well-marked routes and through the gorgeous fringes of our magnificent city. Spend a day exploring, eating and riding - a day that will leave you refreshed with a renewed love of Portland.

The morning starts off with a continental breakfast of bagels, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, delicious coffee, granola and more. You'll snack and eat yummy lunches at rest stops along the way - as frequently as every 15 miles. The finish line features a gourmet dinner with a free beer garden under the gorgeous tree canopy of the Portland State University gardens as you relax after a rewarding day.

  • Ride guides with turn-by-turn instructions provided at the start line
  • Extensive rest stops at an average of every 15 miles or more frequently


WHAT TO BRING :

Bring as much water as your bicycle can carry. Water is provided at the rest stops, but it could be a very hot day.  Suggested packing list: electrolytes (hydration supplements), sunscreen, ibuprophen, lock for the finish line, camera, cell phone, after-ride clothing, and if you have special dietary needs we suggest you bring the foods you need to stay happy and fueled on course.

A change of clothing and after-ride personal items may be stored at the start line.



AMAZING FOOD, FREE BEER!:

A delicious dinnerRest stops are stocked with ample water, full mechanical support, nutritional food, yummy food and snacks and treats. Depending on which course you are riding, you will find a selection of lunch foods and snack foods which may include Hot Lips Pizza, deli sandwiches on Dave's Killer Bread, pasta salad, strawberry shortcake, fruit and much more.

Dinner is served under the shady tree canopy of the Portland State University Gardens with a free Widmer Beer Garden.

Dinner is a delighful grilled salmon and chicken breast main course with orzo salad, mixed greens salad, desset and more.
