Hands on Portland was founded in 1996 to connect community members with volunteer opportunities. Hands On Portland makes over 12,000 volunteer connections a year - ensuring non-profits have the people power they need to complete projects and giving community members a chance to get to know their community better. In fact, 92% of volunteers said that participating in a Hands On Portland project increased their belief that they have the ability to make a difference in the community.
